12-in-1 Headband [Paisley] by Tough Headband

  This is so fun! I really enjoy the fact that I can get so many different uses (12 that I know of) out of this headband. My most common use is as a headband, rolled to make is about a I/2 inch wide to keep hair out of my face while cooking, cleaning, face washing, make up application ect. I also liked that this can be used like a bandana to keep hair for getting wind blown and tangled while riding on a motorcycle. Also this is great as a face mask on cool windy days. I often have this handy at work for hat purpose when unloading trucks. The black and white paisley design is great and will coordinate with almost any outfit. The fabric is thicker than others I have used and is stretchy. When I get it sweaty at the gym during my work outs all I have to do is throw it in the washer and dry and its perfect again.   Do you ever feel that eating healthy is a challenge with todays busy on the run go-go lifestyle? I know I sure do, but the fact is I MUST eat as healthy as I possibly can. If you've read any of my other reviews then you know about my struggle with hypothyroidism and keeping a healthy weight. I've been so focused on making sure everything I put into my body is low carb and calorie fresh foods. The problem is you tend to loose your excitement for food when it comes to meal time because you get stuck in a rut eating the same old salad and fruits day in and day out. In fact there have been times where I just didn't eat because I didn't want a salad, of grilled chicken breast, or green machine juice. It wasn't appealing for me at the moment and I certainly wasn't going to get off track and eat.. gasp.. a piece of bread, or pasta. Those carbs for somebody in my situation like kryptonite is to Super Man.

  When I got the opportunity to review this eBook I got hopeful that there would be SOMETHING to get me out of my "I hate meal time" mood. And to my pleasant surprise this book is chalked full of amazing recipes for clean eating. Not only that, if you're new to the whole concept of clean eating, this book gives you a ton of information as to what clean eating is, how to eat clean and how to cook clean.

  My favorite part about the book is, of course the recipes. Full of recipes for everything from appetizers to deserts. You will definitely have a nice added variety of dishes to choose from to keep you on the road to healthier living.

  One of my favorite recipes is the Wrapped Mango Spinach Bites. These are sooo yummy, and of course, healthy. See below for this sneak peak into what you'll find in this book.

Ingredients:
1 ripe mango peeled and slice
2 cups fresh spinach leaves
Chive strands
Balsamic vinegar

Directions:
Take one slice of mango and wrap a few spinach leaves around them, tie a strand or 2 around the leaves and secure. continue until you've wrapped all of your mango slices. Drizzle Balsamic vinegar over each wrap and enjoy! These are sooo good!

King's Crown by Kangaroo

My daughters love make believe play and this crown has added to the fun. I was selected to receive this crown at a discount for the purpose of inspection and an unbiased review.

When the crown arrived I was shocked at how quickly it came. When I opened the box the crown was loosely wrapped in plastic and at first glance looked pretty awesome. As I took out the crown, still wrapped in the plastic, I immediately noticed that there were 4 jewels as seen in the picture, missing at the base of the crown. I inspected the plastic for the jewels, knowing that UPS isn't the most gentle of people when handling packages, and they were not in there with the crown. When I checked the box to see if the may have fallen out of the plastic, they were not there either, realizing this was sent this way not a result of the shipping.

Upon further inspection, if you look at the photos you'll notice that the other jewels on the crown were often misaligned on the designated mold, were raised off the plastic causing a large space between the gold plastic making it easy to cause a jewel to fall of at the slightest touch, and big globs of glue that protruded on one side of the jewels. In addition to that, those annoying hair like strings of glue from hot glue gun were covering the entire crown. The poor thing looked like it had a fight with Spider Man and lost.

Moving on, I quickly noticed the red felt like fabric that they tried to glue to the gold plastic was actually separated from the plastic as seen in the photo, with a giant glue glob very noticeable. My over all feelings of this crown is that the craftsmanship and overall appearance is very poor and sloppy. One can go to their local dollar tree and save $10.95 and get the exact same thing. I would have rated this product at 2 stars, but despite its flaws my twins still have lots of fun when they aren't frustrated at having to wait for mommy to glue a jewel back on that had fallen off when they simple put the crown on their head.

Xtava Rimini 1800W Iconic Hair Dryer Blue With Diffuser

 

This hair dryer is so pretty, and light! But I have to say, I apparently read the listing wrong, this is a ICONIC hair dry, not ionic. Curious as to what exactly that meant I looked it up, then it made since.

b : widely known and acknowledged especially for distinctive excellence

Xtava is known to have amazing hair styling tools that are over the top. This particular product, in my opinion is not over the top, but I still like it for my hair. I have baby fine hair so I don't require mega heat to dry it. With this dryer, I was able to dry my hair a bit quicker than with my Conair dryer I've had for years but as I said it doesn't take much for my hair. It has 3 heat settings and 2 speed options plus the cool shot option. I like that it seems to be instantly hot when you turn it on, and the cool shot feature works much much better than my Conair.

I don't use a defuser, but I did use the concentration nozzle and it seemed to fit fairly well other than an occasional spin here and there when I wacked it with the hair brush. The cord is very thick and an average length and I'm ok with that. I am a bit disappointed that it does not swivel however as I "round brush" my hair and a swivel cord works best for that. Even though I am right handed, I actually use my left hand to dry with as I style and this dryer made that very easy. Also, being that it is light weight, my arm and hand did not get fatigued as it normally does while doing my hair.

I like that my hair is nice and shiney when I am done and not a frizzy mess. Overall even though this is not an ionic dryer, and it doesn't have a ton of bells and whistles, it's still a good value for the price. I paid almost $70 for my Conair, and the only difference between the two is the Conair has a swivel cord this does not. But this one has a better drying time and is more light weight.

Invivo Essential Fractionated Coconut Oil fabulous for aromatherapy massage - best carrier oil for essentials

I had no idea that coconut oil was available in liquid form! All these yeas I've been using traditional coconut oil for years for massage, shaving facial moisturizer. Now that I have found a much more convenient form, I am hooked! This fractionated coconut oil is AMAZING. My husband uses it as a massage oil on me. He likes it because it glides on easily, but doesn't leave his hands feeling greasy. Plus he likes that it doesn't smell like coconut. This oil absorbs well, leaving my skin soft and supple.

I also use this as a shave gel alternative. Just slather a bit on your leg, shave, rinse and repeat. The end results are super soft silky legs, with out the oily shine. After I shower I also like to use this on my frequently dry skin I get from my hypothyroidism. I constantly have a battle of the snake skin going on. But since I began using the fractionated coconut oil, I've found my legs stay hydrated through out the day with out the need for reapplication. This is HUGE for me in that aspect.

Another great use I have found for this is as a facial cleanser/moisturizer. I've be using all sorts of facial products and constantly changing them around that here recently my face decided it was going on strike and has freaked out on me. even though I personally like change, my skin apparently does not. I ditched ALL facial products I was using and went back to my traditional method of using coconut oil for both. Again this was the first time I had used a liquid form of coconut oil, and I was truly amazed. I always felt in the past I was wasting so much product. But with this I get just the right amount. My skin is so much happier. It not only feels better, but these blemishes that I had which appeared to be acne, but wasn't are now gone.

I have to admit, I am a new fan of fractionated coconut oil. For my massage, moisturizing and facial cleansing needs, this will remain my go to product. The best part is, so little goes soooo far, which makes this an amazing deal as it will last you a very long time.

Ok, I have to admit I'm blown away at the quality of this set. I purchased these during at a special promotional price, and figured they would be the same typically flimsy quality of those you get at walmart. Well I was surprisingly wrong on that! These are probably the thickest set of tongs I've ever used, and I've worked in high end restaurants before. The stainless steal handles are super durable and sturdy. Most tongs when you close them are real flimsy and don't always get a good grip. But these get a grip like no other. It's nice to know that when I grab a chicken leg it will actually make it to my plate rather than the table for a change. These are also great for serving salad as well. I really like that the ends are made of a hard durable textured silicone. I feel its because of that feature these tongs are able to hold to things. Plus I have yet to have them melt when I accidently leave them in a hot skillet, bonus! Cleaning is easy. I haven't had any issues with anything sticking to them and not wanting to come of. if you look at my photos you'll see the tong lock/ hanger. Since I have limited space in my kitchen its much better to store these shut. All you do is push down the lock and you're good to go. That also makes it easier to transport them should you be having Thanksgiving dinner at the in-laws. That same lock also doubles as a hanger to hang these in stead of shoving them in a drawer. The stainless steal makes them attractive and coordinate with any kitchen décor. Over all I am EXTREMELY pleased with this set. The are tough, durable, stylish but most importantly, functional.

Smokey Paws Silicone Heat Resistant Cooking Gloves and Bear Claw Meat Shredder Combo Pack

My husband is a bbq master. He's always grilling or smoking something delicious. The problem is, he's also always stealing my oven mitts only to return them with nasty sauce or charcoal smothered all over them. Sometimes he brings them back fll of holes because he got to close to the fire. Well not anymore. Now that he has these amazing heat resistant silicone gloves that is a thing of the past. These are super thick yet durable and I was surprised at how well they protect your hands from evil burns. I mean seriously, I was a bit skeptical on how they would prevent burns, which is why my hubby was the guinea pig.

Not only that, with the thickness, they are extremely bendable. My husband has no problem griping the heavy trays of meat he just finished and carrying them in. With the old fashioned oven mitts, he was always afraid our food was going to end up on the floor, and a few times it did.

For me what I like most about these gloves is the fact that there is no need to stress is you get something ooey and gooey all over them. Just rinse them with hot soapy water and your done. No stains, no mess, no fuss.

The bonus meat claws are pretty awesome too! My husband is always smoking some bbq pork, but shredding was always a hassle and a mess. With the claws, he can shred right through that pork butt so quickly and effortlessly and its ready to go. Truly a must have for any bbq fan.
